인기 NFT 컬렉션 보어드 에이프 요트 클럽(BAYC)의 디스코드 채널에서 피싱 사기가 발생했다는 소식에 에이프코인(APE) 가격이 급락했다. 1일(현지시간) 코인마켓캡 자료에서 에이프코인은 24시간 전보다 8% 하락한 12.80달러를 기록했다.
외신들에 따르면, BAYC 측은 이날 새벽 디스코드 채널이 피싱 공격을 당해 시스템에 손상이 발생했다고 밝혔다.
공격자는 공식 디스코드 채널에 접속해 뮤턴트 에이프 NFT(Mutant APE NFT) 및 BAYC NFT 보유자들을 위한 새로운 컬렉션이 출시될 것이라고 알렸다.
보안 회사 페크실드(Peckshield)는 이번 공격으로 적어도 한 개 이상의 뮤턴트 에이프 NFT가 손실됐음을 확인한 것으로 전해졌다.
이러한 소식이 전해지면서 BAYC NFT 컬렉션의 거버넌스 토큰인 에이프코인이 약 14달러에서 12.80달러로 떨어졌다.
에이프코인은 지난달 16일 출시 후 39.4달러까지 급등 후 14달러에서 16달러 범위에서 안정을 찾은 상태였으나 이번 사건으로 변동성이 다시 강해졌다.
